Mountain Guide Trek and Expedition Privacy Policy

MGT's policies and procedures for managing customer information were developed with the awareness that Internet technologies are still expanding and that Internet business practices are evolving to meet the changing technologies' demands and opportunities. MGT's policies and practices, as a result, are subject to change.

MGT collects, maintains, and transmits client communications and information that customers may consider private or sensitive in the course of serving them. Customers supply MGT with some of this information, such as their name, address, and phone number, in order to begin service. MGT creates and maintains other information, such as customer account status, service choices, and customer logs, in the normal course of delivering service. This data is subsequently passed along to MGT's internal sales tracking database. In addition, as a required incident to the transmission and delivery of those communications, MGT may keep customers' electronic mail and other communications.

Data Security

MGT will ensure the confidentiality of its customers' information, account information, and personal communications to the greatest extent feasible, in accordance with the law and the legitimate interests of MGT, its partners, employees, and other MGT customers. MGT has suitable physical, technological, and managerial measures in place to protect the loss, misuse, and alteration of information obtained from consumers.

How is customer information used?

MGT may share customer information with particularly selected partners in order to satisfy users with information about items that may be of interest to them or to enable them to participate in special affiliate programs. MGT may also use client data to deliver system information or information about new or improved products to the customers.

Disclosure of customer information and communications

MGT will not otherwise disclose its customers' personal and account information unless it has reason to believe that disclosing such information is necessary to identify, contact, or bring legal action against someone who may be causing harm or interfering with MGT's, MGT's customers', or others' rights or property, or unless MGT has a good faith belief that the law requires such disclosure.

MGT will not disclose to third parties the contents of any electronic mail or other electronic communications that MGT maintains or transmits for its clients, save for the reasons specified below. MGT will reveal such electronic consumer correspondence in the following circumstances:

  • It is required in order to provide customer service.
  • It is necessary to secure MGT's and its customers' legitimate interests.
  • It must comply with any interception orders, warrants, or other legal processes that MGT considers to be lawful and enforceable in its sole discretion.

When the contents are inadvertently collected by MGT and appear to belong to the commission of a crime, it is required to provide to a law enforcement agency.
