Overview

Mountain Guide Trek has been organizing Tibet Tour 3 nights / 4 days fly in fly out in Tibet comprises of a visit to Lhasa which means Place of god is the religious and political capital of Tibet. Lhasa this ancient which carries a history of 1,300 years is located in the river basin surrounded by the majestic Himalayas. Every Tibetan wants to visit Lhasa the beautiful, historical and sacred town situated at an altitude of 3,650m. Lhasa got fame after the construction of three grand Gelugpa monasteries by Tsong Kha-pa along with his disciples in the 15th century. Later, after two centuries the fifth Dalai Lama Lobsang Gyatso transferred the administrative centre to Lhasa and started building the Potala palace; since then Lhasa has not looked back. When we talk about today's scenario Lhasa has some very old but active monasteries which are visited by numerous Tibetan Buddhist pilgrims.

Itinerary

Day 01: Kathmandu to Lhasa (Fly), 1:30 hrs.

In the morning we will fly from KTM to Lhasa an hour over the panoramic Himalayan Ranges to the capital of Tibet Lhasa, an elevation of 3640m lies on the north bank of the Kyichu River. Lhasa in Tibetan means Place of the Gods, the residence of the Dalai Lama., on arrival, we will meet our local representative & transfer to the hotel and rest in the afternoon to adjust. (Overnight at 4-star category hotel on BB basis)

Day 02: Sightseeing in Lhasa.

After having breakfast continue for a full day sightseeing of Potala Palace, Ramoche Monastery, and & Norbulinka. Potala Palace, this legendary palace built atop a single hill is synonymous with Tibet by the first foremost king Songtsen Gompa. Norbulingka meaning 'Treasure Park' covers a huge area considered to be the biggest man-made garden in Tibet. After Sightseeing we will be back at the hotel Overnight. (Overnight at 4-star category hotel on BB basis)

Day 03: Sightseeing in Lhasa.

After having breakfast full day sightseeing of Sera Monastery, Jokhang Monastery, Barkhor Market, Sera Monastery, 5 Kms north of Lhasa, Sera setting is one of Lhasa's prettiest monasteries. Once a community of more than 4/5 thousand monks resided here & was practically extinguished by the Chinese. Jokhang Temple, situated in the heart of Old Lhasa, houses Tibet's most precious religious relic, a golden Shakyamuni Buddha which was brought as a gift by the Chinese Princess Wen Cheng on the occasion of her wedding to the Tibetan King, Songtsen Gompo. Barkhor Market place, which is the religious and social focus of Lhasa, after sightseeing we will be back to the hotel for an overnight stay. (Overnight at 4-star category hotel on BB basis)

Day 04: Lhasa to Kathmandu.

Today check-out from the hotel & in time transfer to the airport to connecting flight to KTM.
