About Annapurna Base Camp Trek With Helicopter Return

Annapurna Base Camp Trek is one of the best Trekking destinations on the planet. It has acquired immense popularity as it covers wider areas and passes through many hill districts of western Nepal. Furthermore, ABC (Annapurna Base Camp Trek) consists of a beautiful terrain of mid-hills and mountain valleys. Lake city Pokhara, Jomsom, Muktinath Temple, Thorong La pass, Lomanthang, Upper Mustang, Upper Manang, and Tilicho Lake are the parts of the ABC trek.

Annapurna Base Camp trek/Annapurna Circuit Trek is a desire of locals as well as foreigners. It is popular among locals for pilgrimage activities, movie shooting, and for foreigners for adventure. Annapurna I is the 10th tallest mountain peak in the world and the trek leads up to Annapurna Base Camp, 4130 m. When you get to Pokhara, ABC is only 30 kilometers away (as the crow flies). Your once-in-a-lifetime experience can be had on a helicopter journey that lasts around an hour. To approach base camp it roughly takes 10 days.  A group joining basis is possible during peak seasons. Moreover, as per this itinerary, you will have a helicopter return from the Annapurna Base Camp at a reasonable price.

From the very beginning of the trip to Pokhara, the mountains like Annapurna I II III IV, Machhapuchhre, and Nilgiri, will impress you in the heart. In the spring you will hike through the beautiful rhododendron forest (the national flower of Nepal), cascading waterfalls, ethnic Gurung villages, and terrace farmland, and can have beautiful views from the hill stations and cold desert valleys of  Mustang and Manang. On your return back you can have sensational views of Kali river gorges, snow-covered mountains, Lakes in Pokhara Seti river gorge, and many more.

Naturally, the Himalayas serve as a breathtaking backdrop. There is a limited chance of experiencing complications associated with being at a high altitude because the highest point is at Annapurna Base Camp, which is located at 4,130 meters. A 10-days itinerary package provides a wonderful glimpse into local life and fascinating communities and terraced agriculture. Additionally, the crossing over glacial rivers and waterfalls, the alpine forests, and the breathtaking vistas of cliffs is a lifetime memory for you.

Welcome from Mountain Guide Trek staff upon your arrival in Nepal. After check-in, if time allows, you will visit the MGT office to meet your trekking leader as well as other participants for final preparation of the trip.  (Overnight at deluxe hotel on BB basis)

Day 3: Pokhara to Chomrong (2020m) via Jhinju Dada (2 hr. Drive, 5hr. trek)

Following breakfast, the Annapurna Base Camp Trek began at Nayapul. It is close to Pokhara. Our first day of the Annapurna base camp walk is slightly easier. We reach a picturesque settlement called Chomrong via Jhinu danda, which is  also a  village in the Annapurna region of Nepal and a well-known night stopover for those going on the Annapurna Base Camp Trek. Our route from Jhinju Dandai to Chomrong route passes through the west bank of the Modi Khola. (Stay the night at a tea house with full board)

Day 04: Chhomrong to Dovan (2580 m)- 5-6 hours.

After breakfast, we trek up a trail with stone stairs to the Chhomrong Khola and the forested Himalayan hills. Trekking from Chhomrong to Dovan takes 8.6 kilometers; after crossing the suspension bridge, we ascend to Sinuwa. The most challenging sections of the ABC trip are the steep descent to Chhomrong Khola and the steep rise to upper Sinuwa. (Stay the night at a tea house with full board)

Day 5: Dovan to Deulari (3200 m) - (5-6hours )

On day 5, after our breakfast, we will start our further hike from Dovan to Deulari. We will pass through a beautiful jungle of the Himalayas. Mountains are revered and seen as heavenly places. Hinduism regards Annapurna as "the mother of food and crops”. It takes you 5-6 hours to reach your most crucial accommodation in Deulari. (Stay the night at a tea house on a full board basis).

Day 6: Trek from Deulari to Annapurna Base Camp (4130m), 4-5 hours walk

As you start your trek above from Deulari, remember; the valley becomes more open and less steep. In the beginning you have to ascend stone stairs. But the views of  the stunning white mountains may make you feel more enchanted as you progress along the path. Moreover, the air starts becoming thinner, and your trek starts becoming more challenging. But it is still a lovely walk up ABC and you will hike at least for 4-5 hours until you reach the elevation of (4130m). (Stay the night at a tea house with a full board basis).

Day 7: Helicopter flight back to Pokhara and to Kathmandu

On day 7, the company will manage helicopter returns from the ABC base camp as mentioned in the itinerary. The return sometimes could be halted because of bad weather. The team or the company will pre inform you in such cases. On your return you can have a wonderful aerial view of the world’s 10th tallest mountain peak and its surrounding. On the very same day you will return to Kathmandu from Pokhara with a ticket reserved for you. The day is free for you to relax, finish up any last-minute shopping, or see any attractions you might have missed on your first day in Kathmandu. (BB base, overnight stay at a luxury hotel)

Day 8: Transfer to Tribhuvan International Airport for the next programme

There is nothing left to do but exchange emails with the travel agency and organize the images as today is the last day of the Annapurna base camp trip. You are bidding goodbye to the mountains as the vacation to Nepal comes to an end on this day. You can go shopping or go sightseeing if you have more time. Mountain Guide Treks will send a representative to drop you up at the airport around three hours prior to the flight's planned departure time.
