A well-known location for bird watching is Bardia Bird Watching in Bardia National Park, which is mostly covered by Sal forest and grass plains and Riverine forests. The slow-moving river Karnali offers several opportunities for viewing different kinds of birds. The Ruddy Shelduck, Darters, Brahmini Kites, Brown Headed Gulls, Cormorants, Oriental Pied Hornbills, Night Heron & Purple Herons, Cinnaon Bitterns, Little Pratincole, Orioles & the majestic Peacocks are just a few types of the Bardia bird species that may be seen here.
