There are 420 kinds of birds in Nepal. Koshi Tappu Bird Watching, including two that have never before been sighted in Nepal, the spotted wren babbler and the olive ground warbler. Over 200 different bird species can be seen at Royal Shuklaphanta Wildlife Reserve. There are 280 kinds of birds to observe in Koshi Tappu, including the Bengal Florican and the endangered swamp partridge. There are also 20 species of ducks, 2 species of ibises, several storks, egrets, and herons.

Welcome to Mountain Guide Trek of Nepal and a hearty Namaste. A Mountain guide Treks representative will welcome you when you arrive (MGT). Pick up your bags and look for our representative at the arrival gate with a Mountain Guide Treks and Expedition display board with the name of the Group leader after finishing your customs formalities (Visa, etc.). After that, you will be taken to the hotel. After check-in, if time allows, you will visit the MGT headquarters to meet your guide as well as other participants and for final preparation for the trip. Your arrival time will determine everything. (BB-based overnight stay in a luxury hotel).
After breakfast on the first day, we will begin a sightseeing tour with a knowledgeable tour guide to some of Kathmandu's most revered historical and spiritual sites. Some of these sites, including Durbar Square, the revered Pashupatinath Hindu temple, the well-known "Monkey Temple" (Swayambunath), and the Buddhist shrine (Buddhanath), one of the biggest stupas in the world, are included as World Heritage Historic Sites. After returning from the excursion, our tour guide and other team members will hold a pre-trip meeting. Mountain Guide Trek will provide you a tour overview and an opportunity to talk about any potential challenges with our future expedition. Rest of the time you could use for travelling around the Thamel and shopping of needed equipment and other necessaries. (Overnight deluxe hotel on BB basis)
The 2759-meter-tall Phulchowki mountain is located roughly 15 kilometers southeast of KTM. It's a great place for hiking. Here, one can find rhododendrons of many species and hues, ranging from bright white to deep crimson. Additionally, this is the valley's busiest location for bird watching. There are now 265 bird species listed for this area. Flycatchers, Yuhinas, Sunbirds, Flowerpeckers, Rosefinches, Babbkers, Warblers, Tits, Thrushes, Minivets, Woodpeckers, Eagles, and several migrant birds are among the species that can be observed here. At the base of Phulchowki hill, where the Royal Botanical Garden is located, Godavari recorded over 100 species of birds, including the spotted Forktail, Tibetan Siskin, and smaller Racket-tailed Drongo.
After a 30-minute journey from Biratnagar, Koshi Tappu is conveniently reachable. Biratnagar and Kathmandu are well connected by road (519 kilometers) and numerous flights.
In the Saptari and Sunsari districts of Eastern Nepal, the Koshi Tappu Wildlife Reserve is located on the Sapta Koshi's flood plains. The 175 sq. km. Reserve was created in 1976. With a few isolated areas of Khairsissoo, scrub forest, and mixed deciduous and deciduous river forest, the vegetation is primarily tall Khar-pater grassland. A variety of species can find critical habitat in the Reserve. Here, one hundred wild buffalo remain as the last remaining population. Hog deer, wild boar, spotted deer, and blue bull are among the other species that live in this area. A total of 423 bird species have been identified here, including the critically endangered Bengal Floricans and swamp partridges, 20 species of ducks, two kinds of ibises, several storks, egrets, and herons. Every day, 183 different bird species are identified here. Visitors can view at least 100 different bird species per day.
Activities for a full day of bird exploration on land and in boats. Koshi Tappu is one of Asia's best wetlands and a fantastic place to go bird viewing. Along with a wide diversity of land birds, including species like the Swamp Francolin, Red-necked Falcon, and Striated Marsh Wabler, this area is home to nearly all of Nepal's long list of wildfowl, waders, storks, ibises, herons, egrets, and teems.
Drive for 9–10 hours across the scenic sceneries to Chitwan. On the way, there are many opportunities to watch Ibisbills and White-rumped Needtail Swifts. When you arrive at Jungle Lodge, the naturalist will greet you and provide you information. The most well-known national park in Nepal is Chitwan National Park. which has 450 species of birds, four types of deer, a leopard, a sloth bear, a wild boar, and a variety of other animals. A few Royal Bengal Tigers also find refuge in this park, which is widely known for its one-horned rhinoceros. In addition to this, Chitwan is home to a wide range of plants and animals.
